Heineken Slovensko has been the leader at the Slovak beer market for more than 10 years, maintaining a stable market share of over 40%. Heineken Slovensko a.s. belongs to one of the major brewery groups in the world, that of Heineken N.V.
Together with Heineken, the brand portfolio’s flagship, the company sells several strong domestic brands in Slovakia, those of Zlatý Bažant, Corgoň, Kelt, Martiner and Gemer, as well as some of the popular foreign brands, i.e. Krušovice, Starobrno and Desperados.
Apart from investment in the brewery, Heineken has built in Hurbanovo the largest malting in Central and Eastern Europe. The total investment exceeded SKK 6 billion, thus representing about 70% of the overall investment in the industry. According to Trend Top 2007 survey, Heineken Slovensko belongs to the major companies in food sector.
