Its tradition goes back to 1893, when an industrial brewery was established in Turčiansky Svätý Martin. Consumers can currently enjoy it not only on draught in typical pubs, but also in half-a-litre bottles in two gradings – 12% as Martiner Original and 10% as Martinský zdroj.
Martiner’s quality can also be proved by the award Bronzová pivná korunka 2006 (Bronze Beer Crown 2006) in the 12% beer category which it was awarded by the Slovenské združenie výrobcov piva a sladu (the Slovak Union of Beer and Malt Producers).
